A little bit about us as a group.

The members of the Adur Consultative Forum come from all walks of life, we are all ordinary people. We formed as a forum in 1996 as a way of volunteering our time and energy in being useful to the Adur community.

To this end, we work extremely closely with Adur District Council on matters of housing. The Adur Consultative Forum operates with an agreed Constitution, and positions of office are held by members through democratic election.

Elected Adur Consultative Forum representatives sit alongside Council Officers and Cabinet Members at meetings, and try to ensure that the voice of tenants is taken notice of. We are completely independant of the Council, and our time and effort is given freely and without pay or reward.

Many of our members are trained in housing matters, tenants rights, building issues and more. This is a result of volunteering even more time to go on relevent training courses, some of which can take us away from loved-ones for several days at a time.
